72 Hours Of Food
I am putting together a 72 hour kit and have chosen the food. First, water is the most important. About six 1-Liter bottles should be enough for drinking although more could probably be added. Each item was chosen because it does not need to be cooked or heated. For breakfast - a glass of milk from dehydrated mix, some peanut butter, a power bar, and canned fruit. For lunch - Once packet of Rice and a packet of spam, tuna, or whatever. For dinner - a can of ravioli and a can of baked beans. This should provide me with enough food for three meals a day for three days. Sadly, I decided to not include coffee (and I do love my coffee) because the water would have to be heated and this kit only has items that can be consumed cold in case of a power outage.
And I must not forget the can opener!
